Malian singer, Idrissa Soumaoro has the most wonderful voice and I was and am delighted to have found his music.  While he plays his African music with ties to the blues and sings in French, he teaches braille to visually impaired children when he is not on tour.  Now that is making a difference on multiple levels.  Mali, a landlocked country on the continent of Africa, is one of the poorest in the world.  They face political upheaval and turmoil, drought, and acute environmental issues.
